I was late making it home to Renton from Alderwood Mall after the singing because I went thru Seattle on I-5 instead of going south on 405. Sheesh!
It was a trial, with the bad (read: STOP and STOP) traffic and my truck blinking the gas light at me it's a wonder I was not bald by the time I made it to the house..
I jumped off the freeway in Seattle hoping to find some go-go juice for the truck. I stopped in several places on 4th, but they were all sans petrol. I gave up an called the Sams Club near the house to make sure they had fuel and then made tracks with fingers crossed.
Oh fumes, I made it and the tank was VERY empty!! Nearly $50 in fuel and I was headed home to collect My Mate!
A quick change (thankfully I'd showered and applied the war paint to be presentable for an Author Friend of mine!!) and we were off and driving to Seattle again.
Seems everyone was late, fashionably or whatever, and we were NOT the last ones to arrive. YEAH!!
The food was amazing, I had steak, and the conversation was lively. We went to the Embarkadero (sp?) with the Boss for a night cap and then headed home around 11.
